In-State Drug Related OffensesSection 4510.17 of the Ohio Revised CodeCause: An individual is found guilty by an Ohio court of applicable drug related offenses under Chapter 2925 of the O.R.C.Length of Suspension: 6 months to 5 years.Appeal Procedures: Appeal of conviction must be made through the court that issued the conviction.Modified Driving: Pursuant to H.B. 163, effective September 23, 2004, any person whose license or permit has been suspended under section 4510.17 of the Ohio revised Code may file a petition for limited driving privileges in the municipal or county court, or in case the person is under eighteen years of age, the juvenile court, in whose jurisdiction the person resides, if the suspension would seriously affect the person's ability to continue employment.Reinstatement Requirements: A reinstatement fee of $30.00 (if offense date is on or after October 1, 1997) is required to clear this suspension, in addition to the suspension period being served.
