Moicle is a noiseless, zero emission vehicle that does not require petrol or diesel to run. The battery consumption of the vehicle is less than 2 to 2.5 units of power per charge, costing about three paise per km and three rupees per 100 km! Vishwas B. Panse, president of the company Genxt Powers India Limited, said that the bike works on battery and therefore is much more cost effective as compared to the usual petrol run vehicles. "It is battery operated. It works on electricity. It's pollution free and does not make any noise. It is much more cost effective as compared to petrol vehicles," Panse said. Though designed to cover inter-city distance, the vehicle would hit the roads next month. Panse added that the vehicle would primarily cater to the needs of those who have to cover short distance as it would save fuel consumption. "It is basically a secondary vehicle. You cannot directly substitute it with a petrol vehicle. You can go for a short distance. It for the day- to-day requirements of those who will short distance.It is definitely an inter-city vehicle," said Panse. The bike has been priced at 17,000 rupees and would be available in states of Maharashtra, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh in the first phase. The target audiences of the trendy, sleek and light weight vehicle would be school and college going students, housewives frequenting short distances and those involved in errands that require them to own a vehicle of their own.
