Subject:	Registration and Title System (RTS) Equipment Replacement and Retention Offer

PURPOSE
To share information regarding an offer for the county to retain RTS equipment.

DETAILS
This summer, your RTS monitors and printers will be replaced with flat panel monitors and upgraded printers. TxDOT’s General Services Division (GSD) has proposed to offer the counties an option to retain, at no cost, the old monitors and printers. If the county decides to keep this equipment, it is requested that you keep all or none of the equipment so that the vendor will know definitively what equipment to return to TxDOT. This week the county will be sent a Certificate of Acquisition Form for signature and an equipment list with instructions from the GSD.

COUNTY ACTION
Upon receipt of the Certificate of Acquisition Form, determine if the county wishes to retain the equipment, then return the signed form by requested date.

In some cases the Registration and Title Bulletins (RTB) contain attachments. If you require a copy of the original signed RTB and the attachments, please email your request with the RTB number to VTR Info Request/Open Records. Repeat requests are subject to charges in accordance with Open Record policies. A subscription service is also available for an annual fee of $250. Subscribers will automatically receive all RTB mailings as they are issued.
