PURPOSE
To provide you with a news release and information about the God Bless Texas specialty license plate featured for the month of March.

DETAILS
During the month of March, we are highlighting the God Bless Texas specialty license plate. These plates are available for passenger cars, light trucks and motorcycles for a $40 annual fee, plus $40 if personalized, in addition to regular vehicle registration fees. The funds raised from the sale of this plate support the Safe Routes to School program and are used to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety around schools. The plate design features an image of the state flag, and the phrase "God Bless Texas" along the bottom of the plate.

COUNTY ACTION
Attached is a "shell" news release that you can customize and send to local media. We plan to send a similar release to TxDOT’s district public information offices statewide. If you would like a copy of this release by e-mail, please send a request to dwaldri@dot.state.tx.us.

Subscribers will automatically receive all RTB mailings as they are issued.
