PURPOSE
This Registration and Title Bulletin (RTB) supersedes RTB #038-04 published April 7, 2004.

DETAILS
Scion, a division of Toyota, is now manufacturing three models of motor vehicles. The make code will populate as "TOYT" in the Vehicle Identification Numbering Association’s (VINA) software application. VINA is populating the vehicle make field with information from the manufacturer’s specifications.

COUNTY ACTION
When processing title transactions on Scions, please verify that the correct year model and body style have been used and also that the vehicle make is listed as "TOYT".

DEPARTMENT ACTION
As title transactions on these vehicles are processed, please verify that the correct make, year model and body style have been used. In addition, the Form VTR-249, Standard Abbreviations for Vehicle Makes and Body Styles, will be revised to reflect the change.
