PURPOSE
To provide information on the new digital Texas El Paso Mission Valley specialty license plate, available to the public effective December 2004, through the Digital License Plate System (DLPS).

DETAILS

The creation of a new digital specialty license plate, El Paso Mission Valley, was authorized by the 78^th Texas Legislature.
This specialty license plate is available for passenger cars and light trucks for a
$30 annual fee, plus $40 if personalized. These fees are in addition to the regular annual registration fee.
$22 of the fee shall be deposited to the credit of the El Paso Mission Restoration and may be used only by the Texas Historical Commission in making grants to the
Socorro Mission Restoration Effort.
The Form VTR-999 may be used when applying for the El Paso Mission Valley specialty license plates. Currently, the El Paso Mission Valley plate is listed on the back of the form. Customers may write in this selection on the front of the form until revisions to the form have been finalized.
Attached is a photocopy of the new El Paso Mission Valley specialty license plate, and a shell news release that you may customize and send to local media.
