PURPOSE
To announce the 2004 VTR Star Award winners.

DETAILS
The VTR Star Award is given annually to recognize exceptional service by a Regional employee and a VTR Headquarters employee who have demonstrated outstanding service and dedication in fulfilling to the TxDOT and VTR missions and visions. We are pleased to announce that VTR’s El Paso Regional Manager Ruben Gonzalez and Systems Analyst Joan Minton have been selected as this year’s VTR Star Award winners. The VTR Star Award Criteria are attached. Thank you very much for the time you took to nominate VTR employees for this important recognition.

Ruben’s career with VTR began in 1972 as a title examiner in El Paso. After several promotions that have taken him to McAllen and Odessa, Ruben is now the El Paso Regional Supervisor, a position he has held since 1996.

Joan has been with VTR for eight years and has served on the RTS Help Desk in a variety of roles. She has been instrumental in implementing Internet registration renewal processes, as well as other important RTS projects.
