PURPOSE
To provide you with a news release and information about issues related to pocket bikes.

DETAILS
With the holiday season approaching, pocket bikes are expected to be a popular gift item. The attached news release highlights the safety and traffic issues of which consumers should be aware before purchasing one of these small vehicles.

COUNTY ACTION
Attached is a "shell" news release that you can customize and send to local media. We plan to send a similar release to TxDOT’s district public information offices statewide. If you would like a copy of this release by email, please send a request to dwaldri@dot.state.tx.us.
