PURPOSE
To provide estimated timelines for completion of the Workaround Elimination Project and the Special Plates Project.

DETAILS
Enhancements to the Registration and Title System to eliminate workarounds were recommended and prioritized by the Tax Assessor-Collectors Association Liaison Committee. The schedule for implementation of four specific workarounds and the Special Plates Project is as follows:

• $1.00 "Reg. Fee-DPS" (insurance fee) for tow trucks, farm trucks, and farm truck tractors project will be completed in January-February 2005
• Disabled Person placards will be complete in late spring 2005
• Seasonal Agricultural registration permits is projected for completion in fall 2005, but could be delayed by possible legislation priorities
• Salvage Titles will follow the completion of the Special Plates Project and will be available in 2006
• Implementation of the Special Plates Project will occur in phases throughout 2005
