Registration and Title Bulletin #086-04

Date: August 19, 2004
To: All County Tax Assessor-Collectors
Category: Specialty Plates
Subject: License Plate of the Month/Collegiate Specialty License Plate
Attachment

PURPOSE
To provide you with a news release and information about Collegiate Specialty License Plates featured for the month of August.

DETAILS
During the month of August, we are highlighting Collegiate License Plates. Funds raised from the sale of these plates are used to benefit the college/university through scholarships awarded by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board.

These specialty license plates can be purchased at anytime, regardless of when a vehicle registration expires. The plate is available for passenger cars and light trucks for $30 per year, in addition to regular registration fees. Collegiate Specialty License Plates include the college/university's graphic symbol on the left-hand side with the institution's name running along the bottom of the plate.
