PURPOSE
To provide you with a news release about the God Bless America and God Bless Texas specialty plates for distribution to your local media.

DETAILS
The God Bless Texas and God Bless America license plates are now available for the public. These plates were recently unveiled at a ceremony in Pflugerville. The funds raised from the sale of these plates will help the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to implement the Safe Routes to School program. This program consists of construction projects that will improve the safety of children on their way to school.

As part of our effort to inform the public about these plates, we have drafted a "shell" news release (see attached) that you can customize and send to local media. We plan to send a similar release to TxDOT’s district public information offices statewide. If you would like a copy of this release by e-mail, please send a request to rpolson@dot.state.tx.us.
