PURPOSE
To provide you with a news release and information about the Military-Veterans specialty license plates featured in November.

DETAILS
During the month of November, we are highlighting the Military and Veteran specialty license plates.

These license plates are available for motorists to purchase at anytime, regardless of when their vehicle registration expires, if they meet certain qualifications. This year the Texas Legislature established several new military special plates including the Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom plates, the Airborne Parachutist plate, and a Distinguished Flying Cross special plate.

Attached is a shell news release that you can customize and send to local media. Also attached is a list of all the military plates available. We plan to send a similar release to TxDOT’s district public information officers for release to their local media outlets.
