PURPOSE
To announce the appointment of Bobby Johnson as the new Director of the Vehicle Titles and Registration Division (VTR) Headquarter Operations.

DETAILS
VTR has selected Bobby Johnson to be the new Director of VTR Headquarter Operations effective October 20, 2003. Bobby has been working for the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) for 15 years and is well-known for the superb customer service he has provided throughout his career.

Bobby first worked for TxDOT in the Travel Division and managed an automated call center for travel counseling and highway road conditions. He also served as the Assistant Director of the Travel Services Section and administered TxDOT’s Texas Travel Information Center (TIC) operation, which includes 12 TIC locations across the state. Bobby began working for VTR in June of 2002 when he became the Special Plates Branch Manager.

Bobby has a Bachelor’s degree from Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University), a Master’s degree from Texas A & M University and a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Texas. Bobby and his wife Lois, an employee of TxDOT’s Travel Division, have two sons, Andrew and Aaron. Please join us in welcoming Bobby as the new Director of VTR Headquarter Operations.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to Duane Pufpaff who has been serving as interim Director of Headquarter Operations. He has done an admirable job in this position and will continue to serve as Chief of Headquarter Operations.
