PURPOSE
To provide information regarding the new and revised Specialty License Plate applications. The new forms will be distributed to your offices when available.

DETAILS
The revisions are the result of the enactment of HB 2971, Acts of the 78^th Texas Legislature, 2003. Attached is a complete listing of the new and revised forms along with a brief description of the changes made to the forms.

These applications also are available on the department website www.dot.state.tx.us, and the fax-on-demand service at 1-888-232-7033.

COUNTY ACTION
A copy of the forms is attached for your reference. These forms may be photocopied for use until you receive a supply of the forms. Individual specialty license plate forms may continue to be accepted. If applicable, the fee should be changed to $30.

Upon receipt of the new and revised forms, please destroy your existing stock.

In some cases the Registration and Title Bulletins (RTB) contain attachments. If you require a copy of the original signed RTB and the attachments, please email your request with the RTB number to VTR Info Request/Open Records. Repeat requests are subject to charges in accordance with Open Record policies. A subscription service is also available for an annual fee of $250. Subscribers will automatically receive all RTB mailings as they are issued.
